  • Review is for Willow Beach Marina/Lake Mead, entrance was $25 however cost was for a few days and thank goodness as we went two days in a row, first day we were headed to Lake Mohave and last minute decided to go to Willow Beach/Lake Mead instead, upon arrival there were zero water craft rentals available on the first day (advance reservations required/suggested), so we just swam, it's safe to swim be careful for insects on land , water was extremely cold but refreshing/inviting (rock shoes recommended), little to no shade so plenty of sunblock, water, beach chairs needed. Bathrooms and showers available , cafe and marina open till 5pm (starts shutting down at 4pm), boat rentals and fuel were affordable $195 full day boat rental (extra time needed for safety video/boat review with captain) and you're all by yourself on the boat which was perfect, South and North paths to explore but the North is prohibited on Sundays/Monday's (Hoover dam) so we went about 8 miles South, the scenic views were outstanding, the boat was perfect for us (party of 4 adults), we didn't make it all the way down to Lake Mohave/Cooperhead or other areas as we had a late start (rocked from the desert sun/swim from day before) and the boat needed to be returned by 4pm, we anchored the boat in a secluded area and swam which was delightful an experience like no other, the water wasn't as cold as the first day swim, all in all I highly recommend it and suggest a full day there with advance water craft reservations, come with plenty of water and snacks, eat before you arrive and when you leave (never tried the cafe), food/cvs/bank etc are 20-30 minutes prior to location otherwise zero accessible except open road and marina cafe. I'm not a Vegas strip kind of person, so until the car/boat rentals, in/on water, did my Vegas trip truly come alive, electric and memorable. Vegas for me was ALL about Willow Beach/Lake Mead, Lake Mohave, Mount Charleston, Zion National Park (and I'm positive there was more to explore).
