  • I read all these great reviews and I just don't get it. I've eaten at the Beverly Hills location on several occasions and LOVED it. I've tried on many occasions to duplicate the Tomatoes and Onions at home, but never the same. I've been in Vegas 4 years now, and never knew that this was here until about 3 weeks ago. It was so beautiful that i couldn't wait to try it. Since it was my birthday, I said "Lets go to Maestros." Why am I the only person to have a bad experience here? The waiters and bussers were waiters and bussers, no personality at all, but thats not what i went for, so no issue there. I wanted the Tomatoes and Onions. When the server sat the plate down, i asked "Those are sweet onions, right?" He replied "Yeah!" They were not. Three slices of tomato and 2 slices of a regular onion that you would put on a hamburger, burned the inside of the nose. Calimari was very good. We both ordered the 22 oz bone in rib eye, mine medium rare, my guest Medium, with a few sides: Gargonzola Mac & Cheese (Pretty damn good), sauteed spinach, and Burnt Brussel Sprouts, which they were. When they sat the plate down, the steaks looked like they were for Fred and Barney, and they tasted that old. These were the worst steaks that I've ever had. I sawed (literally) a piece off of each end and could not go any further. A chainsaw wouldn't help. The taste was like that of a 30 year old cow. My asked asked "Does yours taste like an old cow?" "CLEARLY!" The busser asked if we wanted everything to go: I said "Sure, but please place this steak in a separate box", as i intended to give it to one of the homeless people on the bridge. When he heard us discussing how awful the meat was, busser told us that he could put it on the grill a little longer. I told him that that wouldn't help it. So, He boxed it up and the waiter gave us the check. NO ONE (Manager, waiter, etc...) ever asked, from the time that the steak was sat down, "How is it?". At Del Friscos, or Hugos Cellar, or descent restaurants they always say "Please cut into the center and let us know if that is prepared correctly", before they ever walk away. I guess that they are tired of seeing the sawing action. After Paying, waiter said "Till next time" to which my guest replied "there wont be a next time!" Trust me, I really wanted this to be an awesome experience, as it was my birthday, the place is BEAUTIFUL, and it took some talking to get my guest to go with me. Check was only $250, but $130 of that was a total waste. I could NEVER go to this place again, not even for free.
