I do not normally write reviews but I felt my experience should be shared with others especially when SW Jewelers' last review was only so-so.
Found SW Jewelry Buyers on Yelp along with another company. I went to the other business first only because it was closer to my work in Central Phoenix. They took about an hour to look through the jewelry. I patiently waited while they shared what they thought were certain stones and how some of the jewelry was just costume jewelry, etc. Sadly, I was treated like I didnt know anything and I even had the impression I was wasting their time, but wait, I was there to give them business!?! They were impersonal and quite rude even after I had explained I was looking to sell some of my mothers' jewelry who recently passed away. I left feeling slighted and cried on my way home.
Thinking I may be over sensitive I went to SW Jewelry Buyers as the second opinion with the same jewelry. Eric was quick and to the point on the phone when scheduling the appointment. The building is located in North Scottsdale and easy to find. Upon entering the office, I was immediately greeted by Eric who acknowledged both my boyfriend and I, from the back of the office. He greeted us and lead us past a couple of offices (no cubicles in sight) and took about twenty minutes discussing the jewelry with efficiency and shared his input on some of the pieces (even pieces that I was going to keep). Eric was able to intelligently discuss the era they came from and whether or not they were worth keeping, insuring, and wearing.
He is a friendly, business minded, professional. I felt at ease with discussing the jewelry and his offer to sell was far better than the competitor. He knows his trade and is worth meeting should you find yourself in a bind to sell any jewelry... Both my boyfriend and I were completely impressed with the overall experience that I had to write a review!!!!! ;-)
