I have to come back here to buy a pie, they look amazing! And they should, with a pedigree earned from years of experience from the guru herself, Wanda, who happened to be wandering around the floor chatting with people. According to her website, everything at this cafe is made in house while behind the scenes baking is being done for many restaurants around Toronto, including Caplansky's just across College Street. There is a sign that reads 'We're a vegetarian cafe, but don't hit you over the head with it' and they do offer many veg options with indications of dairy. I had the enchilada which they told me is like Mexican lasagna. It was hearty and went well with the leek soup that I had with it. The watermelon slushie was also tasty and fresh and went so well with the breezy layout there with sight lines over Kensington's Augusta Avenue. Many enjoy the spacious patio wrapping around the corner lot with generous shade by huge retractable awnings giving a comforting cave-dwelling feel as you watch life go by, and I'll be back for pie!
