  • Siam Orchid serves delicious food, including some tempting specialties (Lady in a Green Dress - salmon wrapped in spinach with curry sauce) I haven't seen on other restaurant menus. It was a hard decision, but we chose Wild Boar Basil and Shrimp Fried Rice, with a green bean appetizer - everything was beautifully cooked, with crisp vegetables and perfectly done shrimp. If I had one hesitation it might be that the dish I ordered was marked as spicy on the menu (2 out of 3 stars), and I made sure to tell the waiter "spicy" - I ended up with something with a little lingering heat, but it was by no means hot - it was so good, though, that I stopped caring after a few bites. Having eaten at Thai Spice, I might give the edge to Siam Orchid. If you live in the area, it's definitely worth trying the new place in town - I'd happily go back.
