| - Possibly the worst hardware store I've ever been to..
This place is always dead, which is about the only nice thing about this particular location. But then you realize quickly, why nobody comes here and start wondering how they even stay business.
Nobody ever greet's you when you walk in, unlike Home Depot. I mean, there's literally nobody near the doors watching people come in nor going out. It's kinda bizarre. I imagine they deal with a lot of theft.
Tonight, I went to pick up some plumbing items and found an item that had already been opened/returned. So I asked the gentleman working there if I could receive a discount since it was returned - this is fairly common in most places with merchandise put back on the shelf. The Lowe's rep just kinda gives me a smug attitude and says, "I can't give you a discount on that item.." to which I responded with, but it's been opened? And again, he just says, "I can't do it.." so I just said okay, thanks for the condescending tone to which he replies with a, "You're welcome, Sir.." Haha, wow. Just jerks everywhere you go in this city and they don't seem to care that they're working and supposed to be professionals?
I went to the front desk and requested the manager and got the assistance manger and she was polite and took care of me and the item I was trying to get discounted. Not that difficult after all..
Anyways, this Lowe's is HUGE, but is empty for a reason and way understaffed with spoiled employee's who think because not a lot of people come in that they can talk to customers who do need assistance however they want.
I'd stay away. Home Depot is 10 minutes in the opposite directions on Charleston and Lamb.
