I stopped in shortly after they opened with high expectations. A bar that focuses on poutine? It's like a dream come true or so I thought.
The concept is great. You can pick a pre-planned poutine or you can build your own. Mostly craft beers on the menu.
This place disappointed on every level. The poutine was average at best and I certainly expected something a little more sophisticated than New York Fries grade poutine but at a higher price.
The service was painfully slow. Our waiter came by several times to ask if everything was OK but when you wait 45 minutes for food, it only serves as a painful reminder that they are slow. It wasn't super busy and I'm really not sure how poutine, even custom-topped, could take more than a few minutes to assemble.
There's also no clear place to park. There is little to no on-street parking but there are spaces in an alley next to the restaurant/bar that may or may not be for use by their patrons. I hate having to park somewhere when I have this sinking feeling of returning to a missing car.
