After reading Kris' review, I dropped by during their grand opening weekend. The only specials were their flavoured lattés for $2.65. Looking back on it, I'm sure I could've ordered a regular, same price. Maybe I should've done that instead to get a better taste of the coffee itself as opposed to flavoured-syrup - not a huge fan. Foam/coffee were both nice!
The menu posted seemed a bit limited. NO SIZES posted, just drinks with 1 price. Price of latté is on-par with Starbucks' Tall at $3.50+, so it's not cheap.
I didn't stay to enjoy my latté, but the chairs don't look too comfortable or inviting. There is a couch, but no table in front of it. Since the space itself looks new, I think it'll take some time to build that cozy atmosphere. Maybe some vintage furniture may help.
Met the owner and she seems awful nice. Desserts are baked by a local person. Didn't have a chance to taste any of them, but they looked nice!
I hope that this non-chain café stands the test of time 'cause I do find that the Timmy's/SB are overtaking the city...
