| - As a Hilton rewards member- Hampton Inns are usually my go-to with traveling, though this is not the case as I live in Pittsburgh. At any rate, I stayed here over the weekend and entertained some friends who were in for the weekend. Located within walking distance of strip district (open air shops and little Italian shops), and trendy area with dining. Also close to PNC - just over bridge, and the convention center
Staying in these all over the country I would say this one is on the high end for the following reasons:
1.) Attentive staff - check in, issues with clicker, and room cleanings all were on the high end. At other locations, staff was lukewarm- here seemed over the top accommodating.
2.) Spacious rooms. Plenty of room for activities and the bathroom was bigger than others I've been to.
3.) FREE PARKING- in Baltimore they pop you $45 a damned day for valet, and DC you have to get lucky on street parking or pay valet. Here it is free and there is overflow parking lots as well.
4.) LARGE breakfast seating area - most breakfast nooks and seating options are very limited. Here? There is not only a large seating area off the lobby, but a conference room they open up for overflow seating. Huge fan.
Comfy bed, clean room, hot shower water and a chocolate on the night stand - sold. Would recommend for anyone coming from it of the area and staying Pittsburgh.
