| - As a Chinese who loves extra spicy food, this is the most authentic Szechuan restaurants I've EVER had in the United States. Ironically, sometimes I missed their food when I was in China during vacation... I've stayed in California and New York for a long time, where better Asian food are expected, but NO - nothing I had beats How Lee. It's becoming a reason for me to visit Pittsburgh again.
We ordered their food almost every week during my college years, and the food made me so happy every time that it was seriously a relief for me from an intense week of work.
I've never tried their more Americanized menu, so I couldn't say anything about those, but if you are coming here for the authentic experience, you should go directly to the last page of the menu. I strongly recommend 1. Chengdu/Chongqing Fried Dry Hot Chicken (????????), 2. Fish Filet with Cabbage in Paste Chili (????), 3. Sichuan Style Tofu with Minced Pork (????). These are all VERY spicy, so be aware!
