| - We brought our cat here several years ago. He has FIV and so can't fight off infections, and he had a terrible viral outbreak in his eyes. In one of the eyes the swelling created so much pressure that the lens tore from its tethers (whatever they're called) and popped in front of his iris. He was very uncomfortable and couldn't see, and the other eye was ready to do the same thing. After surgery and medication his second eye is totally normal, the lens was removed from his first eye (and after the infection and swelling decreased, he can see out of both eyes he just has trouble with up-close vision in his bad eye).
Look, I won't try to sugar coat the costs. Their surgery costs are expensive. But when you look down the list of costs, part of that is the enormous effort they go to to provide the best for your pet (like dedicated technicians monitoring vital signs the whole time, the safest anesthesia, etc.). But during the consultations, surgery and recovery periods, and in check-ups ever since we have met with two doctors here (and one doctor in the attached pet dermatologist) and maybe 4 or 5 different techs. Every one of them have been kind and patient and seem to really, really care about us and the health of our pets.
