| - I've eaten here twice with my sister-in-law, who is an employee of corporate MGM. Both times were pleasant experiences.
About a month ago I was visiting on business and arrived straight from the airport. The hostesses were very kind and offered to watch my bags while we ate. I really appreciated that because I was exhausted. My bag was safe and sound in the end.
The place was packed due to a small conference going on, but the girls handled the chaos and traffic very well. Shortly after we got seated, our waiter greeted us and brought out their marvelous chips. The chips and dip are probably my favorite thing about this place.
I have only ever tried variations of the tacos (shrimp, chicken, steak, and veggie). My favorite is the shrimp because it's not as filling. Most meals comes with beans and rice. Portion size is perfect and not too overwhelming.
In the middle of our meal, the manager came out and introduced herself. She also thanked my sister-in-law for the work that she does as a corporate employee for MGM. I loved that she did that; it showed a sense of community between the various channels of the whole company (for those of you who do not know, Border Grill is located in Mandalay Bay, which is part of the MGM Resorts group).
The only negative thing I have to say is that when it's busy, it's hard to get the attention of your server. We felt like he didn't service us as much as he could. He wasn't really that present and he didn't check-in on during the meal. When it came time for the check, he didn't notice us trying to get his attention, then we asked a different server who totally forgot that we asked. Finally we saw the manager walking by and was able to get her attention. That would be my only complaint. Otherwise, I really like this place. Keep it up!
