  • My time with ARAH has been short but my experience with them has been long on great service, great folks, and the amount of love you find there. After losing my 16 year old furry daughter back in April (diabetes, multiple infections), I finally ventured out and considered adoption again. Furry 4.5 year old daughter who would be named "Bayleigh" caught my heart at a shelter. Adopted on a Saturday, August 13, we set what I hoped would be a long line of howdy, happy, & healthy visits just days later when I chose Ann Road Animal Hospital. I read a lot of reviews about vets in the area and ARAH had great ones. Of course, you know we are always going to ask around.....to see what face to face offline locals think as well. The folks there were great. The front end folks are friendly and I was glad that there are always a number of techs there so you are not just standing there forever and ever and ever as can be the case elsewhere. Even when they are going through training someone, they make sure that you are checked in or out efficiently. Bayleigh was introduced to Dr. Bass and they hit it off just fine. That's one of the first things of importance because dogs know that kind of thing....just like us humans! Bayleigh also got to meet Dr. Ford during her next brief visit. Bayleigh and I set our two and four-footed paws on our new journey together, happy that she had a great new vet and great folks there. It was a sad day about a month later when some tests revealed my beautiful baby girl had cancer. Dr. Bass and I talked about the type, approaches to treatment, overall outlook for the type (which I knew was going to be.....short). She has been extremely supportive. Today (10/7) I had to bring my Bayleigh in because, as expected, she was showing visible and audible signs of discomfort due to pain. We talked about the best options, medications, what they would do for Bayleigh, etc. On Bayleigh's good days, she is a bouncing ball of fast and furious fun-loving fur. On her bad days, she is all of that, but you just don't see it in the same way, she tends to sleep more, etc. Dr. Bass was great. I can't imagine being anywhere else as my Bayleigh and I continue our......journey (of whatever length) together.
