I was underwhelmed with my stay at The Delano.
Suites are decorated in off-whites with brass accents; the result should be supper chic but it is simply drab. I was a huge fan of the previous gorgeous and luxurious room design when this tower was called "The Hotel."
The amenities have been stripped from the rooms. No robes (you have to call for one, even though there is a misleading tag on an empty hanger telling you to enjoy your robe). Q-Tips are not in wrapped packaging, just placed in a bulk container, unsanitary and gross. No shower cap (of course I don't use it for my hair but I always use it to wrap the filthy TV remote control).
On a positive note, room service breakfast was lightning-fast and delicious.
On another positive note, Katie was a delightful check-in person.
The new paid parking system is a disaster. Backups going into the garage and backups getting out of the garage. Everyone hates it. I had to have the overnight parking fee removed from my hotel bill after it was eroniously added.
