I've been here twice and I haven't figured out how to fall in love with this place. I think it could definitely be a great coffee shop for people, it just wasn't for me. Rob W. and I came here for a quick study session and we ordered a cherry Italian soda with cream to share.
Service: probably the best factor in this coffee shop. The barista seemed pleasant and polite. The service was a little slow, but it was probably because she was the only person behind the counter.
Drink: I didn't order any coffee, so I can't speak to their espresso. The Italian soda we ordered was probably my least favourite in the Valley. The carbonation was pretty weak, and the cherry flavour was not strong. It was a very watered down creamy drink. The whipped cream was yummy though!
Ambiance: This isn't my favourite environment. It's pretty old and could use a lot of touch-ups. There's an odd musty smell that I can't place. It's pretty dark inside, but the lamps are a cute (and very necessary) touch. There are board games available around the back corner, but I didn't see anybody using it. I felt like I was studying in my grandma's basement. It was nice and quiet though!
This is the kind of place where you either love it or hate it. It's not my kind of coffee shop, but I definitely see how it could be endearing for others.
