Sting Alarm does not return emails or phone calls. I closed an office in October of 2017 and it took 3 weeks to get a hold of John Laughlin after I called him daily. After signing a cancellation and relocated my office the monitoring service called my office everyday for 3 weeks regarding my closed location because the power was turned off at the location I had closed. They called stating I needed to replace my battery in my alarm they stated I did not have electricity at my office. I told them I had cancelled service at that location and I received a snotty reply that I needed to notify Sting alarm then when I told them I had they said "well that's not my job". Then after 2 month Russell Barker shows up at my new office wanting to know why I was cancelling my service at my current location. I told him I closed a different location. He went out to his car and checked with his office and then came back into my office stating he was embarrassed for what had happened. I told about the monitoring department calling everyday after we closed the location.
Also they continued to bill me for the month after I cancelled. It took weeks for Karen in accounting resolve that issue.
Then they stopped drafting for my residence and then sent me a bill for $125 stating it was another customers error. So I signed a cancellation prepared by Sting Alarm to cancel my office and my home was cancelled.
Dealing with this company has take so much time from my business. They are careless and do not have proper systems set up. This is not what a business or a family should look for when hiring a security company.
I have service at my home and an office currently and am trying to cancel those two locations since I am not confident this company not providing proper security. I sent several emails to 3 employees at Sting also leaving several voicemail messages for John Laughlin. I finally got ahold of John and his big concern was that he had returned my call by leaving a message on my partners cell phone voicemail, even those my emails asked him to call me at my office during business hours. Again not an example of what I look for in a security company.
One more thing the sensor in my home has not been working for 2 months and I have not received a message phone call email or any notification from Sting Alarm stating my system is not functioning correctly. My home is probably not being properly monitored at this time. But I expect nothing less from this company.
