  • Had a friend in town this past weekend and wanted to find a place with great food and great atmosphere on short notice. I called around to several places, and on a saturday night, I was looking at 90 minutes or longer. A different friend suggested El Chorro and I was able make a reservation for 8pm. The atmosphere is sensational. We sat on the outdoor patio overlooking Camelback Mountain. Our server Vicky (or Veronica?) was terrific and really made it a fun evening for us. I highly recommend the Trout Almondine; it's one of their signature dishes and it is to die for!
