  • I've known Darryl for a few years now, and he is who I compare all my haircuts to since moving away from Phoenix. I had moved to town in March of 2013 and left in October of '17, knowing nobody and I was used to going to your typical franchise haircut places and getting a standard cut. After a few months and recommendations for 2 other guys in my office, I gave Darryl a try at his shop near Westgate. One haircut and I was hooked, I even continued to visit him when he moved his shop downtown, more than 20 minutes from my home. Darryl took time to get to know what my hair was capable of. I always had patches that had a mind of their own, and very thick hair all throughout. He immediately thinned the densest areas to make it more uniform, and took the time to listen to what I wanted the end results to be. When it was hotter out of course I wanted a shorter hairstyle and he was an artist with it, as the temperature dropped and I wanted longer hair, he again didn't disappoint. Darryl also took the time to educate me on proper beard trimming techniques when I chose to grow a beard, and turned me on to plenty of amazing hair products over the years. My hair has never been better than when he helped me take care of it. In fact, upon arrival to Corpus Christi where I live now, I was complimented regularly on my hair. I've been here 8 months, and still searching for a barber that measures up. The compliments don't come as often, and I even consider flying back regularly for his expertise and dedication to his craft. Darryl is a true artist when it comes to hair, he'll take his time and provide you with the best style for your hair type.
