We flew WestJet through Toronto and the gate area was one of the dirtiest and most depressing I have even been in. One of the gate attendants near us was absolutely belligerent and condescending towards her passengers over the speaker system. The only thing that made it somewhat better/funny was her thick Scottish accent. The atmosphere and lack of professionalism made it feel like we were in a third world country. We love WestJet, and we have loved this airport many years ago when I transferred through here with Air Canada, but on this trip I was not impressed. I will rethink flying through here on WestJet ... or choose Air Canada instead. Somebody needs to rethink the customer experience.
