I have no complaints when it comes to this store. I was outside barbecuing and I was using my iPhone 6 to take pictures of my masterpiece that I had just finished preparing. I never put my phone in my back-pocket but for some reason I did. I walked into the house my wife made my plate and sat it on the table. I was so excited to eat I rushed to the table and sat down, and to my surprise all I heard was a crunching sound, it was the screen to my phone cracking. The time was 7:02 pm and I don't know about you but I definitely know about me and I can't live with a broken phone or anything else for that matter.
I finished eating and the first the I did was see if there was an appointment available at my local Apple which is the Summerlin location but the next appointment at the genius bar wasn't until Thursday today is Saturday. I'm sorry I can't wait I my wife and I high tailed it to the store we arrived there around 7:40 pm and I was quickly greeted and checked in. In almost minutes there was a guy named Scott who came over and assessed my phone he was great very personable, smiled and was so delightful. I expressed to Scott that I didn't have Apple Care which I normally buy but I did't feel I needed for my phone one because I switch phones so much and two I figure after purchasing Apple Care I'd still have to pay for a screen replacement anyways. Scott said because you don't have Apple Care we would have to see if your phone has any liquid damage as long it doesn't you'll be fine it will cost $109.00 to replace I was fine with that. He said that it usually takes about an hour, but there is one person's device in front of yours thats been taking some additional time to repair so it might push it out a little bit. The time was 7:55 pm he gave me a sticker and said present this in an hour mind you they close at 9:00 pm.
My wife and I walked over to Macy's we walked around Sephora, and then walked back to the Apple store. I arrived back a little after 8:30 and once again I was immediately greeted and seated. This time the guy who serviced me wasn't all that personable but I was very impressed by the time I spent and the service I received prior. I'm not one to always say something positive but this experience was awesome so I thank you Apple for employing someone like Scott you did a great job.
