| - Pedro's has been and will always be not bad Americanized Mexican food. The ambiance has obviously not been changed since Pedro's packed it in on a regular basis. My boyfriend and I went on a Friday night, and they were short staffed with a few large parties. The staff was courteous, honest about wait times, and about how busy the restaurant was that evening. We were put on a short wait, and while they had a curious method of seating off the waitlist (I used to run host stands for a living at a few different restaurants so I understand how waitlists get seated), it was a shorter wait than quoted. We were warned that the bartender was slammed so our wait would be better spent in the lobby.
When seated, we looked at the drink/dessert menu for our margaritas: frozen raspberry for him and melon on the rocks for me. The drinks were delicious- a bit sweet, but still tasty. Our server was swamped, but still was very good and friendly. While we weren't given menus immediately, or silverware until after our food was delivered, she made a great attempt to juggle her tables successfully.
I had a carnitas burrito, and he got the pancho villa burrito. While both of us really enjoyed them, there was nothing too special or memorable. The most special or memorable food item were the chips which are always amazing!!
We will still go back, but as usual, it's good, just not amazing.
