  • After waiting 45 minutes for my appointment, the doctor came out and told me that although I was in the office for major back pain, that I was not allowed to have the stroller in the office. There is a sign on the door, however carrying my 20 lb baby in her car seat is not an option with the pain I am experiencing. I asked the receptionist if it was ok and she said yes. She asked if I would leave my baby in the waiting room while she was seeing me. I said "I am not ok leaving my baby with total strangers", her reply was " they are not strangers, they are my patients"...really? After declining that generous offer, I was asked to carry my baby in and leave the stroller and seat in the waiting room. When I got to the weigh in area I was asked to set the baby on the floor so she could weigh me. Again, is said no to her great idea. We got into the room and she sat down and left me standing there. I asked if we should sit on the table or if she wanted me to continue standing (I was not sure bc I didn't know if she was going to check my back right away). She said sit down, then asked me if I listened to the new patient recording. I let her know that I did listen to it. She then asked if I had listened to it, why did I bring my baby, it says no kids allowed. I let her know I spoke to the receptionist when I made the appointment and she said it was ok to bring her in if I did not have anyone to watch her. At this point I felt very uncomfortable, however I had paid and figured maybe she just had bad bedside manners. She commented on my extremly high blood pressure and I said it had to do with her comments and that if she did it again I am sure it would have been fine (which it was). Her main response was "really" to most of what I said. When I said I didn't gain weight during pregnancy and that I was 25lbs down she said "really" in a surprised way. She also commented on my weight impacting my sore back and said that I needed to work out (thankfully she said that bc I never would have never known I was overweight). She seemed to have a lot of negative comments and expressions. She asked if I was pregnant and I said I didn't know bc we were not preventing pregnancy and we were planning on more kiddos. She gave me an RX which I was told my Walgreens would "abort a child" if I was pregnant. After researching this medication online it said it should not be prescribed to anyone who could be pregnant, is wanting to get pregnant, or is in the childbearing age w/o using backup (birth control and contraception). It also said take a pregnancy test before starting this medication...she did not tell me any of this! I was shocked and did not fill the RX. The pharmacist even said that the medication was for stomach ulcers and that the doctor was probably getting a kick back from writing that RX for back pain. I am curious how my experience would have been different if I didn't have my baby with me (who would have slept through the entire appointment if she was in her car seat). I would not recommend this doctor to anyone. The receptionist gave me a car with their hours on it while the doctor was standing there and I said I would not be back because I would need to bring the baby and the doctor turned around (didn't help with the door) and called the next person in before I could walk out. I have written a letter for my insurance company to have on file about this doctor.
