I was surprised at how empty it was for a weekday midmorning! Thought I would see tons of tots running around! It is a little small compared to the other park areas, but shoot we had the whole park to ourselves this morning - and sometimes having a place all to yourself is pretty sweet especially with all the craziness we end up seeing in this town!
The grassy zone is awesome for kiddos and pooches alike! And yes they even have doggie bags to clean up after your pooch.
There's two playgrounds - one for the bigger kids, and one for smaller ones. My little one was running around chasing after all the other kids. They have swing sets too. The bathroom has only two stalls, so if it does get crowded you could end up waiting.
The splash park was pretty sweet, not super toddler friendly - the water does tend to shoot out pretty strong. But she was content to splash around in the water around.
Now, here is a huge safety concern - I am pretty certain there is a nest of wasps close by - that needs to be moved or something. There are three large open rubbish bins, and wasps were buzzing around constantly. They were also flocking to the water features as well, so if there are any folks out there that have severe allergies to bees/wasps - make sure you have your epipens! And it's not just one or two coming and going on their own - it's one right after another coming around. So like I said, it just screams there is a nest nearby. Not sure who the contact people would be for that - but if you do know who to contact - please let them know!
Parking lot is pretty small - only a handful of spaces. And I'm not sure if there is any street parking allowed.
