Markville Goodlife will always be one of my favorite places to work out. Yes, it's become a bit of a dive now that some newer, more spacious and airy Goodlife have recently opened. But the grittiness of the Markville location (and more than a few its members) gives it the cool factor.
This has always been a place where more serious lifters go and sometimes you don't mind that. I'd rather put up with a couple of juice heads than those annoying people who take up a machine just to text.
The spin instructors here are the best.
The group fitness studio is poorly designed because it's too wide and has pillars blocking the view of the instructor.
Cardio machines seem to be in short supply here for the number of users. I've often had to wait for a treadmill.
The change rooms are a decent size.
Sometimes it's hard to get a good parking spot because the mall is so busy. The solution to that is to take advantage of their 24 hour service. I've been here both very early and very late and although not as crowded, it's definitely not deserted. Plus they have never failed me on holidays. Where some of the other so-called 24/7 locations have been closed or have shortened hours on holidays, Markville was open. I appreciate that!
