My mom and I go here every once in a blue moon when we need some decent Italian. Our favorite dish is the spinach and ricotta ravioli. It's very good.
Everything else about this place is bad, but not bad enough to keep us away permanently.
1) Location. It's horrible. It's in a basement and is very very very small. The tables are extremely close together (you're practically sitting on top of the people next to you and sharing conversations). It makes for an uncomfortable meal if you can't get over it.
2) Parking. I just hate street parking (parallel parking, what?) There's a parking garage up the street on Bellefonte which is fine if the weather is nice. One time we did it in the frigid cold and that was dumb. Lol.
4) The wait staff is slow and every time we go they've been extremely un-attentive. Never count on a drink refill here.
5) Their house salad is weird. I'm a simple girl. I like a basic salad (with ranch which they don't have). Girasole's salad is a mixed green with sunflower vinaigrette topped with sunflower seeds. I just don't like it.
It's better than olive garden in some respects, I guess.
