| - My husband and I are huge fans of dbar. We dined here for lunch while we were on our honeymoon in Toronto.
dbar features shared plates, artisan cheeses and house-made sausages and charcuterie with an inventive cocktail menu that features seasonal ingredients and artisanal spirits and craft beers on tap and by the bottle. The dining area is casual but modern with comfy sofa like chairs.
dbar was on our list of places to dine at because we had heard about their firehouse poutine with pulled pork, jalapenos, house-made gravey, and cheese ($16). The poutine did not disappoint and is the best poutine my husband and I ever had. In addition to trying the poutine, we couldn't resist trying the pate de campagne ($14), a country style pork pate with pickled vegetables and Kozelik's mustard and The Firehouse #312 ($19), a beef patty topped with house-made bbq pulled pork, jalapeno mayonnaise, boston lettuce, and cheddar bun with fries.
If I lived in the area, I could see myself going to dbar on a weekly basis for a cocktail and snack. It is absolutely delicious.
