| - I booked a room here via Priceline last week. I was in town for an audition with the PSO at Heinz Hall in the cultural district. My stay was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. I stay in hotels a lot traveling as a performing artist, so I've seen it all, good and bad. This was fantastic! I arrived at the desk and was greeted with a warm smile from a lovely lady named Debra M. While checking me in she saw that I'm from New York City and asked if I am a light sleeper, which I replied yes! She initially wanted to offer me a room on a lower floor with a great view, up put me up on the sixth floor corner further away from the trains (which I liked, they add some Midwestern charm!) but still with a great river and downtown view. When I told her I was there for a big audition, she kindly offered a breakfast the next morning to me and colleague so that we were energized! How sweet! My room was very clean, with nice modern appliances, and a very comfy bed! I slept like a king and felt refreshed. The breakfast buffet was simple, but really good! The waiter was a delightful man who was very sincere and kind. Check out is at noon, so I went to check out at 12PM, but asked the desk if I could practice and relax somewhere until I was do at the hall at 3, and she allowed me to stay in my room a for a bit until I needed to head to Heinz. The service is impeccable. Perhaps these reviews pre-date the make-over, building wise and regarding the staff, because my stay last Wednesday was incredible. As a side note, Bar Louie next door makes great drinks, and martinis were only $5.25 for the night! I had 2 for what I pay for one in nyc! I walked to Heinz Hall in under 20 minutes, and it was so nice to walk Pittsburgh's bridges on a sunny day. I will surely be back. I love visiting Pittsburgh often for the weekend, and I am happy I found a new place to stay! Thank you Debra M. and the amazing staff at the Sheraton, you guys are amazing!
