  • I came in to this location a week ago, probably the 3rd time I've been to this specific perfect scoop location and it will definitely be my last. First of all, this place smells of funk. Not exactly the smell you would associate with ice cream, ice cream cones, brownies etc. Actually the smell is more reminiscent of a Chinese food restaurant bathroom. Very off putting for those in the mood for something tantalizing to the taste buds. Secondly, vegan ice creams aren't in a visible case. What is up with that? Personally, I like to take a look-see at what kind of ice cream I'm getting from ice cream places! That's part of the fun. Plus I am a curious bean...is it frost bitten? Is it the butt end of the container? Does it have real brownie chunks and if yes how big? It's mystery vegan ice cream to me and that's sketchy. I took my chances and got vegan brownie ice cream and ordered it rolled on top of a warm brownie. They also had a sign posted stating they had vegan whipped cream so I was all about it! She rolled it up and kept adding tons and tons of this mystery vegan cream while rolling it...She said it was almond based or something but it all just seemed suspicious that the only label on the bottle was "vegan"... I didn't like that or trust it. Anyway, she finishes rolling up the ice cream and tucks the rolls atop the brownie and for whatever reason (vegan intuition?) I stopped her before she added the whipped cream to ask if I could take a look at the ingredients. Guess what? NOT VEGAN! Contains milk derivatives. Wait... hold up. How can a place advertise "vegan" things if they aren't even vegan? How can you be so misinformed? Is my ice cream even vegan? Is my brownie? Wtf?! I was surprisingly calm about it and just politely told her it isn't vegan whipped cream and I requested she leave the whipped topping out. I did however make a kind suggestion to the girl that coconut cream can be used as a vegan whipped cream if they're interested and the girl rolls her eyes at me! Apparently I was annoying her with my "rude suggestions" on how to actually provide something VEGAN FOR VEGAN CUSTOMERS. Just trying to help! Gave my boyfriend the questionable ice cream (he's not vegan) and he found that the rolled ice cream was gross and too diluted with "vegan mystery juice" to even taste any actual ice cream at all. The only positive worth mentioning is that my boyfriend liked the brownie. :/
