  • I bought the "water resistant" raincoat they were using in their ads, it looks like a trench coat and is very nice looking, with a slight ruffle down the front. It conveniently folds into a little bag that looks like a purse. I have never been so disappointed with a coat - and I paid about $200 for it, which is much more than I usually spend on a coat. The salesperson in the store poured water on it to show its water resistance. The first time I went out in the rain without an umbrella, I got soaked! All the water came in through the seams in the shoulders and I was freezing. I would not recommend this coat unless you only want it for looks. In no way should you consider it a "raincoat"! I wish I had returned it. I will probably never shop at Lorne's again.
