  • I recently got into mountain biking and bought a bike from a friend that needed a tuneup. I brought it in to Dustin, based on all the positive reviews I saw on Yelp. Thinking it would be a routine tuneup, I expected to pick the bike up just a few days later from the shop. A day after dropping it off, I received a phone call from Dustin saying that he noticed a few of my spokes were broken and he had decided to simply fix/replace them for free, but upon doing so, more began to break when he test rode it after the tuneup. He called to let me know that I was going to be in need of an entirely new wheelset. I was pretty bummed, considering I had already spent quite a bit of money on the bike, and now was going to be set back another few hundred dollars on purchasing new wheels that I was unprepared for. Dustin was very understanding and even provided many recommendations as to which direction I go, and not once pushed me to purchase from his shop. I decided to purchase a wheelset online as it best fit my needs, but they weren't able to be delivered for about two weeks. Dustin had no problem keeping my bike in the shop throughout this time. Upon receiving the wheelset, I brought everything in to Dustin and he promptly had it assembled and ready to go by the next day, just in time for my first weekend ride. From the moment I walked in the door and my first experience with Dustin all the way through picking up my bike a few weeks later, I had nothing but positive experiences along the way. Being new to the sport, it's easy to feel intimidated going into a shop when you don't know much about the lingo or the terminology involved. Not once did I ever feel that I was being talked down to or in a demeaning fashion. Dustin was patient through the entire process and provided more help than he probably knows. I'm very lucky that the shop is so close to my house, but even if it wasn't, Global Bikes has a customer for life as long as Dustin is there. I trust all of his team, but he simply went above and beyond and provided such a good experience that there is nowhere else more deserving of my business. Thanks Dustin and the rest of the guys at Global Bikes!
