| - Honestly, the only good thing about this movie theater tonight was the movie "Joy," which I would absolutely recommend.
First of all, the theater is overpriced. We spent $50 on two sandwiches, two drinks, and a brownie. Second of all, the bar is too far from the chairs, and, in order to eat over it, I had to scoot to the very edge of the chair which was pretty uncomfortable. All that being said, had everything else been okay, I wouldn't give this theater a one star. Unfortunately, everything else was NOT okay.
We arrived early to see the movie at 7:30 PM, sitting down at about 7:15 PM. Right off of the bat, the movie was fairly difficult to hear (low volume). We ordered two sandwiches with queso for fries, and a brownie to split for dessert at 7:30 PM (we were hungry!), as well as two drinks (this all took place during the previews, though the wait staff are supposed to make their rounds well before the movie start time).
We got our drinks shortly after ordering. That was good. And, at about 7:45 PM, our order came! Except--it was our brownie and ice cream. No sandwiches. So then we asked the waitress, "hey, where are our sandwiches?" and she assured us that she would go check on them. Here starts the waiting game. 8:15 PM rolls around--no sandwiches. We turn on that fancy red light to alert a staff member. 8:45 PM comes and goes, and finally a waiter runs up to our table (it took 30 minutes for someone to even respond to our alert). He hurriedly runs away and brings back our two sandwiches. They were super cold and kind of gross. By this time our ice cream is just water and the brownies are cold.
Now I'm home and I have a stomach ache. Never ever going back.
