My father, began his long-term stay at Canyon Vista on his 71st birthday, May 14, 2016. He unfortunate recently passed away on October 20, 2016 at Canyon Vista. This review will only include the positive areas that trump everything else. I was not satisfied with a few things but nothing that out weighed the entire stay.
Where do I begin this facility first off is immaculate from top to bottom there is absolutely no smell which is a great thing, the grounds are always spotless. This was the best location in Las Vegas for my dying father to spend his final days.
Over this time there I had the opportunity to meet and know the staff.
Robin, eligibility specialist was awesome with following through and ensuring the Medicaid process was handled properly. She was very knowledgeable of the laws and processes. They have an exceptional physical therapy team that is devoted to all patients improvement. They worked hard with improving my fathers situation and were successful the first fews months of his stay. Roger the physical therapy was always available for any questions or concerns I had he is a great and patient therapist which put my mind at ease. Casey, the speech therapist always provided me with updates as to my fathers process, etc.
Nurses Quinton and Maegan were FANTASTIC!!!! I can't explain how much I appreciated the continued support they showed me and my family on our many visits to the facility.
This facility has caring and knowledgeable staff that know the responsibility of life and death. They made my father very comfortable in his final months. I highly recommend this facility. My father was taking care of very well and that in the end was my only concern.
