I'm sad that W 9th Street location closed. It was funkier and more alt than the 'corporate' suit and tie spot on E 9th. The other funky Phoenixes (by CSU and on Detroit in Lakewood) closed a long time ago. Too bad. But the financial district store will have to do. Actually it ain't bad. The staff is friendly, the coffee is as good as ever (which is quite a remarkable achievement in a city like Cleveland). As others have remarked, the tea selection is impressive and a welcome contribution to a coffeehouse. One sad observation: since this location is mostly for office workers and business types, it is hard to find a table, as meetings or laptop sessions are taking place at almost every spot. I like to sit and enjoy my coffee, not gulp it down in traffic or while walking along the street. One interesting note: the guy who manned the counter at the now-closed Arabica at Detroit and W 117th is here now (was he an employee or the manager, I don't know). I guess that proves how small the coffee universe is in the 216.
