I had a burrito bowl with tofu today for lunch. It was a nice size. It looked healthy. I had some guacamole, roasted chili corn salsa, rice, fresh salsa, cheese etc. the food was fresh and flavorful. It was filling. I could not finish the whole thing as I did not want to overeat. What was disappointing was that I could not appreciate the tofu. It was blended in with the food. There was no texture I could appreciate. There was no flavor I could appreciate. If I did not know that it was in there I would have completely missed it. The point of ingredients in a dish is to appreciate them and see how it all fits in. I guess the only point of the tofu ingredient is that it is healthy and a source of protein. There was nothing else that it contributed to the culinary experience.
