I love how filling it is just like the real deal (please refer to my review on the real Chicago deep dish at Giordano's previously), but it is still far from being the real, authentic Deep Dish pizza in Chicago. First, the crust here is so hard and burnt. It lacks the puffy texture the real deep dish pizza offers with its crusts (almost pie-like). Second, it was a lot thinner than the authentic counterparts (less cheese?). Everything (the button topping, cheese, and the marinara sauce) sticks densely together, which lost the fluffy texture deep dish pizza supposes to have.
However, regardless of how Double D's deviates from the real Deep Dish Pizza, I may still visit again. I think the price is pretty reasonable, and the pizza does remind me of my deep dishy Chicago life.
