| - Icky, in a word. So the store can't help where they're located, so let's just not talk about that. They CAN, however, make sure things are clean. I understand carts go inside and out, however there is still a lot that management and employees alike can do to make it better. Carts go inside and out at every store, but I've never seen grosser ones. The store set up is bad - not like every other toys r us at all. Aisles are narrow and maze-like. That being said, it took me a good ten minutes to find someone who could help me find a particular doll. The first kid looked higher than a kite and said he doesn't know where stuff is. The second guy looked like he'd been up for 3 days playing a video game tournament... very disheveled and sticky in appearance, however he was friendly and able to help me find the doll.
Settled on some craft kits I found - buy one, get one 40% off. Once I make my way through the maze, I go to checkout... only the customer service counter was open. The lady was the only one up there and was speaking to an employee (chris b) on the phone, telling him he's still not on the schedule. Maybe he needs to be, though, because this was an awfully long, drawn out visit. My stuff doesn't ring up right (I have what I like to call mathematical OCD) and she argues that it did - I view the items on the cc terminal and show her it's not discounting. She shows me that it discounts once she hits "done" on her side. It did discount, but not properly. She walkie talkies some guy and they debate if my product is, in fact, part of the sale. Guy can't find product - after ten minutes, I go back in the maze to show him myself. Yes, it's part of the sale. I go back up, wait for my new turn. Then I wait for a manager to come fix the price.
THEN
I can't pay through the port on the terminal for my smartchip card. Why not? Because they don't use that - the lady doesn't know why people always want to put the card there - well, ma'am, because it's a new law and your company needs to be sure it works.
ugh - I was exhausted by time I left.
