  • After hearing everyone at my company's Rocky River store rave about First Watch I was super excited to get sent out there today to work. Had I known my take-out order of Eggs Benedict was going to be an arts-and-crafts project, however, I would have just brought my own lunch from home. Eggs Benedict is my all time favorite breakfast food. It's pretty hard to mess up unless you have junky hollandaise sauce. English Muffin, Canadian Bacon, Poached Egg, Sauce. Presto, instant yummy! Sure you can dress it up or down, but the basic formula stays the same. First Watch however managed to mess up even that simple time-tested formula. You see, when you get it to go, instead of gently poached eggs, they're basically over hard. Also, everything comes on the side. So you have to construct your own meal. Add on top that they forgot the hollandaise all together and that I had to go back to get it equals one horrific Eggs Bene. I guess I'll be getting food from The Pub or Lake Island Coffee from now on.
