| - Back when I lived in Phoenix a few years ago, this was home base. My sanctuary. I had practiced yoga before, but never felt the loving community it can create until The Biltmore Studio. Truly outstanding teachers who truly make 80 minutes of sweaty, challenging yoga a blast. I always drop in for a class or two when I'm in town.
The core, most common class is the 80 minute Biltmore Hot. It's a mix of flow series, Bikram style static series and major awesome opening/wind down at the end. Most of the class is set to stellar music which is SUPER important to me. It makes all the difference to give me that little bit of pick me up motivation I need.
There is only one studio at this location, but they still offer plenty of class times. Free parking in the lot. Make sure to bring a mat, two towels (one for your mat and one for wiping that sweat) and lots and lots of water.
If you have never done hot yoga before, this is your place. Every instructor encourages and reminds all students to take it at their own pace and do what feels great in students' bodies TODAY. Come a little early for a good spot-cooler on the left and hotter on the right. There are showers and amenities provided if you want to clean up afterwards (love that they provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, the works!).
Stop by the Whole Foods next door for a well deserved treat (they also have a bar!). Namaste, y'all.
