| - Air Canada officially made my first Yelp 0 star if not negative! Absolutely hated my flying experience. Poor communication with flyers, negative efficiency (many things that could go wrong, went wrong), and below average service. Lastly, just want to say thank you for at least didn't lose my luggage.
I bought the ticket from New York LGA to Vancouver (1 stop at Toronto). The first flight was fine. Although service was a meh. The second flight turned out to be a totally horrible experience in MANY ways! It was scheduled to leave at 9:45AM. I only knew its delayed to 12pm when I landed in Toronto. There was no any form of communication from air Canada through text or email! Been told there is some mechanical problem that the plane can't get approved to take off, we had to wait in the waiting area to know what's going to happen next. They had no idea if the plane could fly or not. At this time, I figured the original flight is already canceled through google and AGAIN no any notification through any form! And we were told the flight is delayed indefinitely. Around 12pm, staff told us the original plane can't not fly today and they have to arrange new planes. The original plane holds 400 flyers but new plane can hold 250max. So they need to rearrange two planes and seats etc. meanwhile we were notified that we could get another $10 coupon for food (there was no public notification about the first $10?!! Only people who came to the desk and asked the staff specifically knew this!). At this point, many flyers were very agitated yet they told us that we can't leave the waiting area because they don't know the exact boarding time and they are working on seating?! They finally started to assign seating around 1pm so we had to form a long line to get assigned (the airport way was blocked by the crowd). The reassigning process was very slow and not organized as well. People started to joke about it by calling it "don't know what's going on line". When I got my flight I was told because I'm traveling alone and don't have the next connection flight, they will move me to the later flight (first one is 230pm and 330pm). I had to ask and beg for a change because I have urgent schedule in Vancouver?!! This is so unfair to the flyers!! At this point I was exhausted and devastated, and I didn't know there were only more hits coming. After we finally boarded, we were told that we had to wait for the captain?! Meanwhile the staff told us "please enjoy the entertainment and great service." Everyone couldn't help laughing at this. That was not the end. After we landed, we had to wait another 20 minutes because the door/bridge has connection problem! Thank god at least I got my luggage after waiting 40+minutes?!!!
This is my one and only experience with air Canada. But just too bad that I don't have the courage to give it another try.
