A more authentic Olive Garden.
I like the place, just not blown away. There are so many great Italian places in the Cleveland area and I just don't think Brio can compete. I guess for what it is, it succeeds. It is a more original and authentic chain. It takes the crazy over-Italian of the OG and brings it back a bit.
I am a fan of the bread for starters. It isn't that greasy white garlic bread at the OG. The atmospheres kinda cool, lively and spacious.
I generally get some pasta dish here. They have a good version of a chicken Diablo like dish. The savory sauces and spices are always a plus for pasta. It is good food, just not great food.
The desserts and drinks are always on par. The wine menu is much more impressive than most chains and even some small shops.
The fact that this one is in Crocker park really makes it feel more chain-like and less authentic. I like coming here but there are so many great options out there, it is hard to justify.
