LEGIONNAIRES DESEASE? LONG LINES AT CHECK IN? CHANGED ROOMS 3 TIMES? Yes! All this and more!!
We usually stay at the Palazzo but as it was our first time playing in the WSOP (World Series of Poker) we figured it would be more convenient to stay here. Major mistake. Never again. Here is a list of all the fails:
1. If you like to see shirtless tattooed men with bear belly's walking around in flip flops this is the hotel for you. I guess the low prices bring in low class.
2. Lines at the front desk were always long. Not enough staff.
3. Um, are you kidding me? Which I believe is what I said when they told me that my pre-paid room wasn't available but for an additional charge we could be upgraded. I called BS on that one and asked for the manager. I promptly told him that was a bait and switch and was totally illegal. After rounds of negotiating and debating my room magically appeared.
4. Then we were told we would have to change rooms in the middle of our stay due to a "maintenance issue" which later turned out to be legionnaires decease in the water. Really?
5. Then we had to change rooms again after that. As we were staying for a week this was a major inconvenience.
6. Went to Guy's Burro Burracho, the wait was long and the food was mediocre.
7. Best option was pizza by the sports bar.
The RIO is gross and we will never stay there again.
