| - DO NOT RENT HERE!! Staff are awful, Roaches galore, and consistent unresolved issues!!!
They are WAY overpriced (check and compare with any other establishments in the area).
Read more below:
Issue 1. Roaches began to be and remained a serious issue the entirety of my stay. SO MANY ROACHES. So many, I felt like they should be paying rent! So many, that I was paranoid to leave any drains or plugs open. So many that at one point, I actually woke up to a roach crawling over my back!! Issue 2. I dealt with 3 major water pipe floods in my area that forced the water to be shut off. One of the times they turned off the water without 24 hours notice and I was left to survive all day at home with my son with no running water. Each time the maintenance came out to repair these major leaks, they would aimlessly dig several enormous holes around the walkways and leave them there for weeks at time. Very dangerous and not exactly smart as any number of children that play outside each day could have easily fallen into these pits and injured themselves. Not to mention that the turn-around for these repairs was much longer than necessary. Issue 3. There were several cars damaged by fallen Eucalyptus tree branches. When they finally got a crew to come out and trim the branches down a bit, the noise and fumes from their equipment were horrendous and everyone I spoke with in the community was unhappy They failed to clean up the mess this made. Months later, more branches continued to fall. Issue 4. There were lots of sprinkler heads that had been cut off and the water leaking from them have legitimate mold settling around them - scattered throughout the entire complex. Come to find out, these were the least of my problems at La Estancia.
WORST ISSUE # 4:Long story short: If you have loud neighbors upstairs - the staff will NOT accommodate you. They do not care. They will give you the run around and ignore your calls, hang up on you, lie to you. They will not call the neighbors to resolve the issue.
I spent over 2 months dealing with loud upstairs neighbors and found out that the main reason is because they installed HARD WORD floors upstairs... which is AGAINST policy!! I ended up talking to these loud neighbors myself over a dozen times pleading with them to be quiet after 8:30pm. I called the leasing office almost every time, pleading with them to fix this issue. Nothing got resolved!! The staff was not only unresponsive to my calls, but when I went down to talk to the staff they refused to let me speak with the manager (Jamie) and stared me down like I was their worst enemy. It was just plain humiliating. I asked to have the neighbors moved ASAP or allow me to break my lease a month early, because at that point I only had about a month and a half left on my lease.They said they had an available unit and they would "try" but several days..weeks went by with no resolution. I even called the cops and they weren't able to do anything because the neighbors ignored the officer when they showed up. I ended up having to stay with family for close to a month because my son would constantly wake up from the noise upstairs and I had had enough. Come to find out the neighbors did end up moving at some point while I was staying with family, which I found out only after showing up to my apartment to start packing my belongings and noticed the vacant apartment above me. The staff NEVER INFORMED ME!!! Not once. Then they tried to LIE to my face and stated they had called me and left a voicemail. FALSE. LIE. THAT DID NOT HAPPEN. How much more unprofessional, careless, and down right RUDE can you get!???
They are so unprofessional it is obscene. The staff are all horrendous, catty women and I am convinced that they are racist as well.
My "stay" at La Estancia was AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL. This place should be called "LA ESTANCIA MUY MAL!!"
