| - My wife and I are in our 50s, recently retired, and we have lived all around the world and all across the US. We have rented, purchased, and sold many homes over the years, and in Nov 2015, we decided that it was time for us to move on. We had been living in Phoenix for almost 8 years, the longest we lived anywhere in a long time and we just wanted a change.
We researched many realtors online, spoke with friends, talked with neighbors, etc., and we finally came down with a list of 6 that we would like to meet with. We contacted all 6, provided them with our info, and then asked for an appointment at our home the following week. We gave each realtor a 2 hour window where we would show them our home, then hear from them about their philosophy, business model, price, how best they felt they could market our home, etc., and then after meeting with all 6 we would make a decision on who to go with.
After meeting with 4 of the 6 realtor teams, we were at a loss and really unsure why some even bothered to show up. Whomever gave some of them 5 stars must have either been an employee, family, friend, very lucky, or they just had smoked a lot of dog food, as some were mediocre at best. Yes, a couple realtors did show up prepared, you could tell they did some homework, and some knew the business and area. However, when the Myriad team arrived it was like night and day compared to the others. Total professionals! Their knowledge was uncompromising, dedicated & mission oriented, had done thorough research on our home, the area, etc., and they were very comfortable to work with; easy decision for us.
As a former senior leader who has had the opportunity to closely observe literally thousands of true professionals over the years, I found the Myriad team to be nothing less than top-notch! totally dedicated, loyal, talented, determined, and fiercely committed to selling our home and getting us the best price possible. Both Dan and Skyler instill a high degree of faith and confidence in all those around them, and they consistently demonstrate those traits most desirable of a person we wanted in a position of trust to sell our home, to get it done fast, done right, and with just the right amount of personal attention we wanted and needed.
As mentioned earlier, we decided to sell in Nov, prepped in Dec, and in early Jan 2016, we listed our home. We went from just thoughts of selling to sold in less than 3 months! :) Without a doubt Skyler is a marketing Guru! Before our home ever went up for sale, Skyler had already marketed our home all across the valley, state, and the country. He had several buyers eagerly waiting to see our home before it was ever listed. As soon as it listed, the first few days were a little crazy with so many viewers, but the team had it under control and set it up so that whenever someone saw our home we would get an email alert, and then we would get another alert shortly after the viewer left with the customer comments about our home.
The real-time feedback was awesome. We immediate heard the good, the bad, things were pointed out that we could easily fix, heard things that we never thought of, and it gave us a solid view on exactly what others thought of our home, our price, the interior, exterior, yard, neighborhood, etc.
Needless to say, within a couple of weeks we had accepted an offer that we felt very comfortable with, and the next thing we knew we were going through inspections, appraisal, closing, and we had our check in mid-February. Once we handed the ball off to Dan and his team, they handle everything. Kathryn and the office team are unbelievable. The only stress we had was the unnecessary stupid stress that the wife and I put on ourselves, and in the end there was absolutely no reason for it.
I quickly found that selling a home has come a long way. I remember back in the day when buying or selling a home was like working on an old car. You just popped the hood, stuck up a sign, and that was it. Nowadays, you pop the hood on your car and your head is like a soup sandwich; the same goes for real estate. Real Estate has come so far with their laws, marketing, advertisement, automation, research, terms, short sales, bank owned homes, investment properties, percentages, points, transactions, contracts, etc., that if you don't retain a season team you are doing yourself and family an injustice.
I firmly stand behind my rating and review of the Myriad Real Estate Group! Further, I feel confident that if you give them an opportunity, if nothing else just to meet with you, you will find that their high level of customer service, expertise, personal attention, determination, selfless service, research and marketing is second to none.
Blood makes you a relative, loyalty makes you family. Team Myriad will forever be our family!
