| - I went for dinner with a friend, and we ended up splitting the duck wings, a pitcher of beer and dessert, with a main each.
Price was reasonable, and I left full and happy.
The barbecue duck wings were deliciously crispy on the outside and satisfying.
My main was the juniper berry deer tartare with fries and coleslaw.
The bread that came with the tartare was tender and toasted on the grill, which I liked way better than the super crispy crouton slab that some places serve with tartare, the tartare itself was interestingly seasoned and tasty, the fries were great, and even the coleslaw was creamy and interestingly peppery.
My friend had the salmon burger with smoked salmon, which had a salmon cake patty and came on a very tasty roll that looked homemade. The combination tasted amazing and I will go back just to have this.
Dessert was a maple mousse with apple jelly that was tasty and sweet and came in a mini portion that worked very well for two very full dinners who just want a last note of sweetness.
I also want to try their brunch and the rabbit general Tao entree, so basically, big thumbs up.
Atmosphere is nice and cozy, service was great, beer list was interesting.
