Went in here to buy a Portable PropaneFire Pit. The price on the shelf said 42.00 American dollars. I eggcitedly brought my treasure to the checkout and plopped it on the counter. Imagine my dismay when the crotchety old lady with the Ace Hardware red vest told me "That's not the correct price, it sells for 100 dollars.". I told her about the price stated on the shelf and happily escorted her to see it for herself.
She responded by scratching and clawing at the sticker in an unsuccessful attempt to remove it from the shelf. I tried explaining it was bad business to have one price on the shelf and a higher one at the time of purchase. She didn't seem to care and when I asked if she was going to do the right thing and sell me the item at the stated price on the shelf she gave me a look of disdain and flatly answered "I'm not letting it go for that". I'll stick with Lowe's and HomeDepot
Now I am left to wonder what she would have let it go for.
