Let it be noted this does not apply to any specific NVDMV location, but NVDMV as a whole. Heads up to anyone moving from Nevada to another state.....
How is it that NVDMV does NOT prorate registrations when a person moves out of state? I no longer live there. I do the right thing and reregister in my new state within 30 days. They tell me they do not give me credit for monies paid on my old registration. I go to the NVDMV website and though I paid $500 for my registration in July, I get nothing back. Which government thief made THAT law? And you want the plates back? How's that supposed to work? I drive across country with no tags? Oh and then you want me to send them certified?! You won't penalize me if I don't return them? Gee, how generous. Next time I will just keep my tags until they expire. No justice for law-abiding citizens.
