I had a nearly new $250 offroad tire with a 1' rip in the tread. Tire Works tried to fix it with a patch that failed, then a plug that failed. 4 Wheel Parts had me leave it with them for a couple hours before calling me to say it can't be repaired. When I picked it up, there was no sign the tire was even removed from the Jeep.
After researching local tire companies, I found many positive reviews of JR's tires. I've often found that locally owned companies give more than half effort. It only took a few minutes to break down the tire and give me a quick lesson on proper patching technique. He took the time to show me the process which increased my confidence that I wouldn't be stranded.
Over 500 miles have been run on the "unrepairable" tire. Almost 200 of those miles have been run hard off road. That's the result when you take pride in your work and apply effort beyond common.
They are a little difficult to find. Their address is listed on Dean Martin, but the shop entrance is on Ali Baba Lane. Just head west on Ali Baba. They're the second shop in the third building on the right.
