| - i bought another online coupon for an hour long massage, this time at Body Craft. they don't have a full-time therapist, so you must make appointments through the therapist directly, and not with Body Craft.
the facility is a gym. from the looks of it, it's a personal fitness/bootcamp style gym that offers massage therapy. my therapist said it's relatively new, so there were still some things to work on.
i arrived at 4:30 and was greeted politely by the therapist. she led me to a standard back massage room. did the standard pre-interview and got under the covers.
there are some kinks to work out, and not just my shoulders. to get the bad out of the way....the music was nice but it was apparently the free version of Pandora because every 2-3 songs, a commercial for McDonalds chicken nuggets came on...totally throws the whole meditative state off. and i could hear the constant thumping of the gym workout music throughout the massage...again, not very conducive to relaxation.
but i was really gipped this time. i paid for an hour long massage (granted, only 19 bucks) but really only got 35 minutes. i arrived at 4:30pm, got situated and started the massage at 4:40. at 5:10, my therapist was done. i was in one of those relaxed moods, it didn't hit me until i was in my truck, texting my wife when i'd be home when i noticed it wasn't even 5:20 yet. what a crock! she asked me why i was finished so soon, and then it hit me that indeed, i was only in there 35 minutes!!!!!
for the good...the pressure was good, and my shoulder and low back felt much better today after weeks of tension and knottiness. but please, put a clock in the massage rooms so that customers get their full hour, or at least 50 minutes.
