  • The only thing that probably gives me more anxiety than my mother is going to the Dentist and I'm an old US Army 11bc2/13F vet. In fact before today I never really knew what constituted a good dentist. For me, if the dentist was relatively painless and caring I was a happy camper. Today I experienced the Nirvana of dentistry. I visited TLC for a root canal and extraction with followups for an implant and bridge. First this office is beautiful. Everything is clean and looks well organized. All good first signs for me. My appt. was at 1pm and I got seen at exactly 1pm. I wasn't ushered into a chair to wait another 30 minutes. Instead I was attended to right away and within 10 minutes I was made fully aware of all my options. No pressure, no sales pitch, just an honest appraisal of my needs. Hessel, the treatment coordinator I talked to, was just so nice in every way. She has one of those rare genuinely nice engaging personalities. Dr. Gregory wasn't just painless, she communicated with me through the entire process. She constantly checked to see if I was feeling ok and empowered me to stop anytime I felt uncomfortable. I have had some horrible dental experiences in my past, many of which seemed hurried or uncaring. This was the first time I got a real sense that my procedure was being handled with extreme care and with an attention to detail that would ensure the highest quality result. Even after the procedure she took the time with her assistant to go over every facet of my treatment and even demonstrate how to apply my gauze. The dental assistant Sarah and the dental hygienists that helped were also very friendly. There is a general feeling in this office of a team that truly cares for their patients and loves improving peoples lives. Of course I couldn't help but review their price list when I got home. I was very happy to discover that my fees were well on the low side of the local spectrum. As good as my visit was I would not have minded paying a premium but this was just another bonus to my experience. I tend to be very critical and specific in my expectations of service especially when I am forking over (what is to me) a lot of money. Thank you TLC so very much. I finally have a dentist to return my smile and the confidence it brings.
