This post office does usually have a line when I go in, but I go there knowing this. I come prepared and I think this is crucial. If you come to this place out of convenience and you have certain gripes like lines, but you keep coming back...well, come earlier. Come prepared. Go in knowing there's going to be a wait so that way if maybe one day there isn't a line you'll be pleasantly surprised. Ha!
I've always had pleasant customer service here though I have witnessed (most recently especially) eye rolling and annoyed sarcasm towards other customers. I think this is because most people come in not knowing what goes where and what a package needs. They ask repetitive questions and don't listen when an answer is given. I'm not saying this is an excuse for an employee to be rude because it's not, but it's pretty annoying when you have a customer coming in and interrupting the employee while they try to help someone who was there first. I've seen it over and over where a customer will stand in line and whine out loud about how slow the line is. Do you think this is helpful to anyone else standing there? No, it's not.
Recently I came in to send a small package. I grabbed some packing items off the shelves, which I found to be stocked fully. While I was in line, I put everything together and had the TO/FROM filled out correctly. Once I got up to the front, my check out was a breeze. I didn't wait until I got up to the front to get my package ready so it sped up everyone's process. I will continue to come back to this place.
